Mr. Black,
Public Relations, Associate, has been a professional reporter, writer
and editor for more than two decades. He has been involved journalistically
with the automobile industry since 1981, when he joined Lane publications
(Sunset Magazine) as editor of Western Automotive Report, an award-winning
marketing journal. With J.D. Power and Associates he was responsible
for corporate communications, including relations with trade and consumer
press. At Ward's Communications he was managing editor of two national
monthlies: Ward's Auto Dealer and Ward's Auto World. Mr. Black is
well known in the industry as a marketing/communications consultant
with W.J. Yound and Associates and as a freelance writer and editor.
He was involved with the Dataquest North American Automotive Electronics
Study as a research and writer. Mr. Black holds an A.B. in English
from Kenyon College, and did graduate work at Emory University.
